from the ongoing globalisation process.<br />

The first aim of MeLLANGE consists in devising a methodology for the<br />

collaborative creation of corpus-based eLearning teaching contents in translation,<br />

language resource management and technology.<br />

Its second aim is to address the issue of a vocational training policy at the<br />

European level by coordinating a European Masters of Arts that will be recognised<br />

by the different partners, thus enabling student and professional mobility within the<br />

European Community.<br />

Following the previous and highly successful MeLLANGE workshop that took place in<br />

Vienna in May 2006, the MeLLANGE partnership invites you to attend the Olomouc<br />

dissemination workshop on translation technologies and e-learning development<br />

which will include hands-on sessions, reports of work in progress, and introductions<br />

to relevant new resources for e-learning development.<br />

The Workshop will be organized by the Centre for Translation Studies of the<br />

University of Vienna, the Olomouc Training Centre, and the Paris Diderot<br />

University. The workshop will be held in Olomouc, Czech Republic.<br />

The official language of the Olomouc workshop is English.<br />

The workshop aims at:<br />

* Presenting the MeLLANGE framework for the European Masters in<br />

Translation Technologies developed within the project, as well<br />

as the criteria for potential partners to take part in the MA.<br />

* Presenting to potential CEE universities partners best<br />

practices for the collaborative creation of corpus-based<br />

e-learning teaching contents in translation, language resource<br />

management and technology.<br />

* Presenting the creation process of a Learner Translator Corpus<br />

(LTC) and its applications in translation training and<br />

research.<br />

A second call for participation, including the programme and<br />

accommodation information, will be sent in January 2007.
