Alana hawley – actor<br />

Second season: Grace Wellborn in <strong>Bartholomew</strong> <strong>Fair</strong>, <strong>Fair</strong>y in A<br />

Midsummer Night’s Dream and appears in Julius Caesar. Alana was<br />

last seen in the 2008 <strong>Stratford</strong> Shakespeare <strong>Festival</strong> season as<br />

the Princess of France in Love’s Labour’s Lost. Past theatre credits<br />

include Zanda in The Clink and Flaminia in The Double Inconstancy<br />

(Studio Theatre), Flora in 27 Wagons Full of Cotton (University of Alberta), Regan<br />

in King Lear, Kitty Packard in Dinner at Eight, Anna in Anna Karenina, Third Witch<br />

in Macbeth (Prince George Playhouse) and Ophelia in Hamlet (Vanier Hall/Prince<br />

George Symphony Orchestra). Musical theatre credits include Oliver! (Prince<br />

George Playhouse) and Grease (St. Albert’s Children’s Theatre). She has studied<br />

film and television with Tarlington Training (Vancouver, B.C.). Alana is a 2007<br />

graduate of the University of Alberta BFA acting program. Love and thanks to her<br />

family, friends and mentors for their continued love and support.<br />

peter James haworth – actor<br />

Fourth season: Solomon in <strong>Bartholomew</strong> <strong>Fair</strong> and understudy in<br />

Three Sisters and Phèdre. Peter James Haworth has performed in<br />

more than 60 plays throughout Canada. He starred as Antony<br />

in Antony and Cleopatra in Vancouver for Bard on the Beach. He<br />

played Hortensio in ShakespeareWorks’ The Taming of the Shrew<br />

and Antonio in MTC’s The Tempest. In the first season of Soulpepper, he played<br />

Philinte in The Misanthrope. He performed in three productions of A Walk in the<br />

Woods. In 2000, he played the title role in Stolen Lives: The Albert Walker Story<br />

for the Blyth <strong>Festival</strong>. Other plays include Lips Together, Teeth Apart, Dinner with<br />

Friends and A Kind of Alaska. Peter was the assistant director on The Cherry Orchard<br />

at the <strong>Stratford</strong> Shakespeare <strong>Festival</strong>, where he also performed in 1984-5. Among<br />

his numerous television and movie credits are The Breeder, Hollywoodland, Murder<br />

at 1600, Jett Jackson and The State Within. He is a member of the artistic board of<br />

Actors Repertory Company.<br />

colin heath – actor<br />

<strong>Stratford</strong> debut: Tinderbox-man/Northern in <strong>Bartholomew</strong> <strong>Fair</strong>,<br />

Cobbler in Julius Caesar and appears in A Midsummer Night’s<br />

Dream. Theatre credits include The Lord of the Rings (Mirvish);<br />

The Overcoat (CanStage/Vancouver Playhouse/world tour); Le<br />

Cirque Réinventé (Cirque du Soleil); The Number 14 (co-writer –<br />

Axis Theatre/World Tour); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (CanStage); Crazy for You<br />

(Mirvish); Beauty and the Beast (Citadel/Theatre Calgary); Sweeney Todd (Arts Club);<br />

Flying Blind (Axis); Molière (Tarragon); and several shows with Bard on the Beach,<br />

Leaky Heaven Circus (founding member) and Caravan Farm Theatre, for whom he<br />

has written two musicals, Man From the Capital and The Apple Orchard. Colin’s play<br />

For Art’s Sake has had several productions across Canada. TV credits include The<br />

Tin Man, Voyage of the Unicorn and Stargate SG-1. Upcoming: Colin is co-writing an<br />

adaptation of Don Quixote with Peter Anderson (Axis/Centaur/Arts Club). “Love to<br />

randy hughson – actor<br />

Second season: Jordan Knockem in <strong>Bartholomew</strong> <strong>Fair</strong> and Senex<br />

in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Last season:<br />

Second Gravedigger (Hamlet), Hortensio (The Taming of the Shrew)<br />

and Interpreter (All’s Well That Ends Well). Recently: Buried Child<br />

(NAC/Saidye Bronfman). Randy has performed leading roles in<br />

theatres across Canada including the Tarragon Theatre, Factory Theatre, Theatre<br />

Passe Muraille, CanStage, Soulpepper, Necessary Angel, Manitoba Theatre Centre,<br />

Citadel Theatre, Alberta Theatre Projects, Arts Club (Vancouver), NAC, Neptune<br />

Theatre, Centaur Theatre, Blyth <strong>Festival</strong>, Theatre Calgary and Vancouver Playhouse.<br />

He has toured the country in shows including High Life, Earshot and Half Life.<br />

He has been nominated for 10 Dora Awards, three Sterling Awards, one Betty<br />

Mitchell Award and three Jessie Awards and received one of each. He has worked<br />

extensively in film, TV and radio, garnering a Gemini nomination and a Golden<br />

Sheaf award. “Love to Melissa.”<br />

robert king – actor<br />

17th season: Ferapont in Three Sisters, Fruitmonger/Puppy in<br />

<strong>Bartholomew</strong> <strong>Fair</strong> and Milton in The Trespassers. <strong>Stratford</strong> credits<br />

include The Merry Wives of Windsor, Hamlet, The Merchant of<br />

Venice, The Donnellys: Sticks & Stones, Quiet in the Land, Cat on a<br />

Hot Tin Roof, Of Mice and Men, Much Ado About Nothing, Henry V,<br />

Henry VI, Richard II, Richard III, Coriolanus, Pericles, King Lear, A Midsummer Night’s<br />

Dream, Twelfth Night, Home, Tempest-Tost, Julius Caesar and The Swanne, among<br />

others. Robert was in the Blyth <strong>Festival</strong>’s production of Innocence Lost in 2008,<br />

and Drayton <strong>Festival</strong>’s production of The Drawer Boy. Other theatre credits include<br />

A Streetcar Named Desire, Observe the Sons of Ulster, The Crackwalker, On the Job,<br />

Garrison’s Garage, County Hearts, The Melville Boys and many more. He has also<br />

performed in radio, television and film. Robert lives in <strong>Stratford</strong> with his lovely<br />

wife, Peggy, and children, Mary and Lawrence.<br />

ian lake – actor<br />

Second season: Trouble-all in <strong>Bartholomew</strong> <strong>Fair</strong>, Artemidorus/<br />

Strato in Julius Caesar and Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s<br />

Dream. Ian is delighted to return for another exciting season at<br />

the <strong>Stratford</strong> Shakespeare <strong>Festival</strong>. Last year was a thrilling season<br />

that saw him playing Berowne in Michael Langham’s production<br />

of Love’s Labour’s Lost and understudying Romeo in Romeo and Juliet. Shakespeare<br />

credits include Orsino in Twelfth Night, sharing the title role in Macbeth (BCC),<br />

Borachio in Much Ado About Nothing (Resurgence), Sebastian in Twelfth Night and<br />

Leontes in The Winter’s Tale (NTSC). Other favourites are Les Deux Aveugles, Star<br />

Quality (Theatre Lac Brome), First Venticello in Amadeus (Segal Theatre), Lost Heir,<br />

Schoolhouse (Blyth <strong>Festival</strong>), Creon in Oedipus Rex (Gravy Bath, Montreal), Don<br />

Homenides in A Flea in Her Ear and Svidrigailov in Crime and Punishment (NTSC). In<br />

2007 Ian produced and acted in a short film entitled SPIT; he is currently working<br />

on a screenplay with fellow actor Jeff Lillico about their recent travels through<br />

Central America. Ian is also a graduate of the National Theatre School.<br />

claire lautier – actor<br />

<strong>Stratford</strong> debut: Maid in Three Sisters, Rich Lady in <strong>Bartholomew</strong><br />

<strong>Fair</strong> and Aricie in Phèdre. Claire has played leading roles in New<br />

York, across the U.S. and abroad. New York: Isabella in Edward the<br />

Second, Duchess in The Revenger’s Tragedy (Red Bull Theatre); The<br />

Dining Room (Keen Company, Drama Desk Award); Hedda Gabler,<br />

Chaucer in Rome (Broadway and Lincoln Center). Regional and international:<br />

Lady Anne in Richard III, Roxane in Cyrano de Bergerac (Shakespeare Theatre<br />

Company); Princess of France in Love’s Labour’s Lost (Royal Shakespeare Company<br />

and Shakespeare Theatre Company); and others including Baltimore CenterStage,<br />

Westport Country Playhouse, Walnut Street Theatre, Repertory Theatre of St.<br />

Louis, Pittsburgh Public Theatre and New Jersey Shakespeare <strong>Festival</strong>. Film: 25/8,<br />

Ghost Town, Confessions of a Shopaholic, Elf, House of D, the short film By Courier<br />

(Academy Award nomination, 2001). TV: 3lbs, Grey’s Anatomy, Numb3rs, Law and<br />

Order, Law and Order: SVU, All My Children and Guiding Light. She is an honour<br />

graduate of Duke University and the Juilliard School.<br />

Dawson lott – actor<br />

<strong>Stratford</strong> debut: Visitor in <strong>Bartholomew</strong> <strong>Fair</strong>. Dawson is very excited<br />

about being in <strong>Bartholomew</strong> <strong>Fair</strong>. At the age of four he decided<br />

he wanted to be an actor. He takes piano, vocal and dance<br />

lessons and is involved in choirs both at school and at church.<br />

Each summer he looks forward to Acting Out, a musical-theatre<br />

camp. Theatre credits include Winthrop in The Music Man (<strong>Stratford</strong> Community<br />

Players), Ensemble in Carousel (The Community Players of New Hamburg) and<br />

Pennywinkle in Rats (a school musical), and he was to play Chip in Beauty and the<br />

Beast (<strong>Stratford</strong> Community Players), which, unfortunately, was cancelled. Dawson<br />

is nine years old and is in Grade 4 at Anne Hathaway PS. “I would like to thank my<br />

mom and dad for their love and support and my little sister, Courtney, for letting<br />

me put on shows for her.”
