ASCR ................................................... $10/semester<br />
Payment <strong>of</strong> fees is expected at <strong>the</strong> time <strong>of</strong> registration.<br />
The college accepts cash, checks, money orders and<br />
credit cards (VISA/MC/Discover). Payment may be<br />
made in person or online through WebAdvisor. A<br />
student’s registration may be cancelled if payment<br />
is not received. Enrollment fees are subject to<br />
change by <strong>the</strong> legislature.<br />
FINANCIAL AID<br />
Students may apply for financial aid while attending<br />
<strong>College</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Redwoods</strong>. Funds are provided by<br />
federal, state and local programs. Students are<br />
encouraged to complete a Board <strong>of</strong> Governors Grant<br />
(BOG) fee waiver and/or a Free Application for<br />
Student Aid (FAFSA).<br />
FAFSA and BOG fee waiver applications are<br />
available at CR campuses and instructional sites<br />
and online at www.redwoods.edu/Financial-Aid/.<br />
Scholarships and o<strong>the</strong>r financial aid may also be<br />
available.<br />
REFUNDS<br />
To be eligible for a refund <strong>of</strong> fees, a student must<br />
drop a course by <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> second week <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
semester. Refund dates vary for short-term courses.<br />

RESIDENCY STATUS<br />
Residency status is determined in <strong>the</strong> admissions<br />
process. Appeals by a non-resident student for<br />
reclassification as a California resident, including<br />
all required documentation, must be filed within<br />
<strong>the</strong> first four weeks <strong>of</strong> a fall or <strong>spring</strong> semester, or<br />
within <strong>the</strong> first week <strong>of</strong> a winter or summer term.<br />

VETERANS BENEFITS<br />
Students who are eligible for Veterans benefits<br />
programs, including National Guard Reserve,<br />
Vocational Rehabilitation, <strong>the</strong> V.E.A.P. program<br />
and <strong>the</strong> Montgomery G.I. Bill, may contact<br />
Enrollment Services for more information.<br />
ASCR FEE<br />
Funds collected via <strong>the</strong> Associated Students at<br />
<strong>College</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Redwoods</strong> (ASCR) are used to<br />
provide recreational, co-curricular, decision-making<br />
and development activities on and <strong>of</strong>f campus.<br />
Students who pay <strong>the</strong> voluntary fee are eligible to<br />
receive special services and access to events that<br />
are supported by <strong>the</strong> fee. The fee is voluntary and<br />
students may opt out during <strong>the</strong> registration period<br />
<strong>of</strong> each semester. Since <strong>the</strong> fee is automatically<br />
assessed each semester, students must complete an<br />
“opt out” form and return <strong>the</strong> form to Enrollment<br />
Services to have <strong>the</strong> fee removed. For more<br />
