SPRING 2012 SCHEDULE OF CLASSES COLLEGE OF THE REDWOODS, DELNORTE 6 ACADEMIC SUPPORT CENTER & LIBRARY The CRDN Library holds over 6,000 books and videos on a wide variety of subjects, including reference and fiction. The library offers student and public standard/wireless internet access, many online databases and 12 computers with Microsoft Office 2010. Interlibrary loans for students are available through the CR District. Test proctoring is also available. Students must have a CR ID card to access these services. Students can obtain free ID cards in the library. BOOKSTORE Textbooks for on-campus courses are sold at the campus bookstore for a limited time each semester. Textbooks can be purchased online at www. redwoods.edu/eureka/Bookstore/ or over the phone by calling (707) 476-4130. You must know the name of the course, section number and instructor’s name. CLUBS • Associated Student Body (ASB) • Community Enrichment Club (CEC) • Literary Club • Natural Resources Club • Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) PARKING Students are allowed to use the front, side and back parking lots free of charge. Parking for people with disabilities with the appropriate disability placard/sticker is available in both the front and back parking lots. STUDENT LOUNGE The Student Lounge is located in Room DA 12 and is open during campus hours. The lounge has beverage, snack and refrigerated food vending machines, a microwave, and bulletin boards. stuDent resources SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTION & TUTORING Student Support Services (TRIO) offers supplemental instruction and tutoring for students who want to improve their understanding of course material and improve their grades in English and math. SPRING 2012 SCHEDULE OF CLASSES COLLEGE OF THE REDWOODS, DELNORTE 7 AssociAte in liberAl Arts deGree The Associate in Liberal Arts is designed for students who want a broad knowledge of the liberal arts and sciences. This degree requires the successful completion of at least 18 units, which meet the College of the Redwoods General Education requirements, at least 18 units in an Area of Emphasis and additional elective college-level courses to reach a minimum of 60 units. All courses listed in the Areas of Emphasis transfer to the CSU System and those in BOLD also transfer to the UC System. Students planning to transfer to the CSU System or the UC System will need to complete the lower division transfer requirements for that system as part of the Liberal Arts degree. CR Del Norte campus offers courses for the Associate in Liberal Arts with four Areas of Emphasis: Science Exploration, Fine Arts, Behavioral and Social Science, and Humanities and Communications. Completing the Areas of Emphasis in Science, Math and Business requires taking courses on the Eureka campus or online. A minimum of 18 units is required from courses in the chosen Area of Emphasis offered at Del Norte as listed below. See a counselor or advisor for complete information regarding these degrees.
