Employee resignations and dismissals, outplacement
10 Dimensions of People Management
Cases in which individuals leave the company voluntarily or are
dismissed must be handled appropriately and in accordance with our
ethical values and principles. It is a natural part of working life that
employers and employees who have come part of the way together
decide to part ways at some point.
Yet regardless of the reasons involved, departing employees must
be treated fairly. If an employee chooses to quit, it is important to
discover the reasons for the decision in an exit interview.
Formalities and such criteria as company requirements and labour
laws must be taken into consideration during this process. Furthermore,
the company must protect its own interests by demanding
the return of company property, such as laptops,
mobile phones, documents, etc.
