This interview is a private session with your mentor. During this session your<br />

mentor will take the opportunity to get to know you a bit better and find out more<br />

about your unique situation. You can discuss any issues that you feel are<br />

important to you. Through these interviews the mentors will have the<br />

opportunity to better work with your unique needs.<br />

Session Three<br />

Balancing Study and Social Life<br />

Goals:<br />

� Air your questions, thoughts and concerns.<br />

� Explore how to balance study with the rest of your life? What<br />

challenges do you face, what opportunities?<br />

� Take a look at how your learning style can influence how<br />

you study.<br />

� Explore ways to structure your studies.<br />

This session focuses on finding the balance between social life and studies.<br />

Time will be dedicated to looking at different people’s preferences and needs<br />

for finding a balance in these two areas.<br />

This session also provides you with an opportunity to explore how your<br />

personal preferences in addition to the educational cultural background from<br />

which you come are affecting your expectations and study habits. Each<br />

individual develops a unique set of preferences with regard to learning and the<br />

more you understand about yours the better your opportunity to balance study<br />

and personal life and to create a study plan that works for you.<br />

Session Four<br />

Insights About Living and Working In IBA’s International Environment<br />

Goals:<br />

• Provide an opportunity to share some of your experience<br />

in this international setting.<br />

• Provide a chance to explore what benefits and challenges<br />

you are getting from this environment, how is it different<br />

than studying in a more mono-cultural environment.<br />

This session gives you a chance to step back and look at what you are learning<br />

about international and intercultural cooperation just by being part of the IBA<br />

Community. While some of you may have lived your whole lives in international<br />

settings, for others this is a new experience, and the unique mix of people,<br />

cultures and experiences on this level is giving you many hidden lessons, about<br />

how you interact and work in intercultural teams, about how you are learning to<br />

thrive with uncertainty, just to name a few. During this session you have a<br />
