Fundamentals of Glass Science
and Technology Short Course
Professional engineers, scientists, administrators and students
who wish to rapidly acquire a general idea of glass or append
their education in materials engineering should attend. Taught by
Arun K. Varshneya, course topics include commercial glass families,
glassy state, nucleation and crystallization, phase separation, glass
structure, glass technology, batch calculations, glassmelting and
glass forming, glass properties and engineering principles, and elementary
fracture analysis.
