substantial expertise/ experience with software for<br />

modeling of complex mechanics problems. Initiate<br />

research and extend capabilities and fundamental understanding<br />

of mechanical testing capabilities.<br />

Research Scientist: Fractography<br />

Job ID# 166205: Fracture and Failure Analysis Engineer<br />

Advanced skills in root cause analysis utilizing<br />

fractographic interpretation of brittle materials to<br />

determine failure mode(s). Knowledge of materials,<br />

mechanics, test methods, and manufacturing processes is<br />

necessary.<br />

Senior Research Scientist: Mechanical<br />

Job ID# 166534<br />

Support glass development projects as the mechanical<br />

lead, conducting research on the mechanics of glass for the<br />

various glass manufacturing processes. Expertise in<br />

mechanics of brittle materials, reliability and failure<br />

analysis.<br />

Senior Research Scientist: Reliability & Measurements<br />

Job ID# 166441<br />

Ensure products meet early-design performance requirements<br />

related to reliability and functionality by developing<br />

basic understanding of product and material performance<br />

under application conditions.<br />

Required Education: Ph.D. Materials Science, Fracture<br />

Mechanics, Glass, and <strong>Ceramic</strong>s Science<br />

Experience: 5 to 10 years<br />

Required Education: B.S. or equivalent in Materials,<br />

Mechanics or Reliability<br />

Experience: 3 years experience required<br />

Required Education: Ph.D. in Material Science,<br />

<strong>Ceramic</strong>/ Glass, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent<br />

Experience: 10 years of project leadership experience or<br />

equivalent required<br />

Required Education: M.S. Materials, Mechanics or<br />

similar<br />

Experience: 5 years experience required<br />
