This fantastic itinerary, the perfect way to experience the various regions and amazing sights of South Africa, departs each
Sunday. You will discover historical Johannesburg, stay at two private game lodges, take open vehicle game drives, enjoy
excellent cuisine, view game in five different areas, interact with elephant and ostriches, enjoy an Ocean Safari and a Knysna
Sunset Oyster Cruise before finishing in Cape Town.
day 1 Johannesburg city tour
Arrive in Johannesburg then transfer and
check-in to your hotel. Enjoy a half day city
tour of “Egoli”, the City of Gold, including
Nelson Mandela Bridge and Constitution Hill.

day 2 Makalali Private Game Lodge
Leave the city behind and travel east to the
beautiful and inspiring Mpumalanga Province.
Stop in the enchanting village of Dullstroom,
then head off to Hoedspruit and Makalali
Private Game Reserve, near the famous
Kruger National Park. After check-in take a
game drive in the reserve - The Big 5 (lion,
leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo) and
many other species are on the viewing menu.

day 3 Panorama Route
An early game drive in an open vehicle
allows us to experience the awakening of
the bushveld. After breakfast, on our way
to the small town of Sabie, we will explore
the “Panorama Route” which features the
magnificent Blyde River Canyon, The Three
Rondavels, God’s Window and more.
Lone Creek River Lodge 1 night - B
day 4 Kruger national Park
Today we head into the Kruger. On the
enclosed vehicle game drive take in the park’s
vastness, while seeking out the Big Five and
other game. Private Game Lodge overnight.
Bongani Mountain Lodge 1 night - BD
plus 2 game viewing activities
day 5 Swaziland
After an early game drive, travel through
the Kingdom of Swaziland and visit Hlane
Royal Park, home to elephant, lion and
rhino. Continue on to the Zulu Kingdom of
KwaZula-Natal to our overnight lodge.

day 6 Game drive & River cruise
Enjoy a morning game drive in Hluhluwe
game reserve. We also visit iSimangaliso
Wetland Park, a world heritage site and take
a river cruise on the estuary, then travel along
the Elephant Coast to Durban.

day 7 Port elizabeth
Morning at leisure. Enjoy the sights of the
seaside promenade then transfer for your
flight (not included) to Port Elizabeth.

day 8-9 Garden Route
Head south on the Garden Route towards
Knysna through the beautiful and ancient
Tsitsikamma Forest. A walk on the Storms
River suspension bridge reveals dramatic
views over the river mouth. Continue to the
beautiful town of Knysna. The Oyster Cruise
at sunset is a highlight. On the next day, we
head to Plettenberg Bay for an Ocean Safari
on the bay and some leisure time.

day 10 ostrich Farm
After breakfast, travel to Oudtshoorn, via
Wilderness and the Outeniqua Pass. Stop for
a visit at an ostrich farm then continue to the
lodge for a sumptuous dinner.

Blyde River Canyon
day 11 elephants & cango caves
After breakfast enjoy an elephant interaction and
feeding experience at the Lodge. Next stop is the
20 million year old Cango Caves for a guided tour.
Afterwards we join the iconic Route 62 and travel
via the artistic town of Barrydale to Cape Town.

day 12 cape Point Full day tour
Enjoy a full day tour that includes Cape Point,
Camps Bay, Hout Bay, Cape of Good Hope,
Simonstown and Muizenberg. There is also a
wine tasting at one of the famous Stellenbosch
wine estates.
day 13 - depart
Transfer to the airport for your departure.
