Visit Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens followed by a<br />

short stop at La Citadelle for breathtaking views over the<br />

capital, Port Louis. See many landmarks includng Champ<br />

de mars racecourse, Saint Louis Cathedral, Place d’Armes,<br />

Jummah Mosque and Chinatown before enjoying some<br />

time in the local markets and the Le Caudan Waterfront<br />

Scenic South: Full day tour<br />

Tour Highlights: Trou aux Cerfs crater, Grand Bassin lake,<br />

Black River Gorges, La Rhumerie de Chamarel, Chamarel<br />

Waterfall and coloured earth, Casela Nature & Leisure Park.<br />

Proceed to Trou aux Cerfs, a dormant volcanic crater for<br />

panoramic views of the nearby towns and mountains. Drive<br />

along Plaine Champagne road to Grand Bassin sacred<br />

lake, where Hindu devotees pray and worship. Continue to<br />

the viewpoint of the Black River Gorges for amazing views<br />

before arriving at La Rhumerie de Chamarel for a visit, lunch<br />

and some rum tasting. After lunch head to Chamarel to view<br />

the coloured earth and the waterfall. The tour ends with a<br />

stop at Casela Nature & Leisure Park where you will see a<br />

variety of birds and animal species from around the world.<br />

Aubin, Vanilla/Anthurium plantations, Bois Chéri tea factory,<br />

Start at La Vanille Reserve des Mascareignes, home<br />

to tortoises, crocodiles, monkeys and other fauna and<br />

endemic flora. Continue to Saint Aubin, a 19th Century<br />

plantation house, home to a beautiful vanilla and anthurium<br />

nursery and a local rum distillery. Afterwards enjoy lunch at<br />
