Visit New Zealand’s premier theme park for thrilling rides and attractions for
all ages. Get up close and personal with saltwater crocodiles and walk through
the butterfly house among hundreds of colourful butterflies. For a unique mix of
adrenaline-pumping action try the challenging ropes course
I have: A Bit of time Fancy a round of golf? Tree-lined fairways,
ponds and a river combine for a top quality golfing experience in Pukekohe.
Walk through the stunning Auckland Botanic Gardens and see native New
Zealand plants and eclectic sculptures. Afterwards, relax in the afternoon
sunshine with a gourmet food platter and a glass of wine at New Zealand’s most
awarded winery.
I have: PleNty of time Explore one of Auckland’s most beautiful
corners: Glenbrook, Waiuku and the Awhitu Peninsula. You’ll reach Glenbrook
first with its magical vintage steam railway. On to Waiuku for lunch then the
nearby black-sand beach at Kariotahi. Drive up the Awhitu Peninsula where
roads to the beach branch off everywhere. Finally, climb up inside the restored
19th century lighthouse and take in the spectacular view. On your return, visit
the haunted attraction scream park in Karaka for the fright of your life. If you
have longer, spend a few days at Karioitahi – there’s surf lessons, blow carting,
kayaking, 4x4 tours, clay shooting and even a day spa.
