work from house to house at 9 o'clock in the morning and<br />

at 12 noon they assembled in the woods to enjoy the lunch<br />

which they had brought with them and to encourage one<br />

another by relating experiences they had had in the work<br />

<strong>of</strong> proclaiming the gospel. At the end <strong>of</strong> the clearing in the<br />

woods, there was a sports club, and about 25 members <strong>of</strong><br />

the club were present when <strong>Jehovah's</strong> witnesses assembled<br />

to eat their lunch. As one could expect, the little group <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>Jehovah's</strong> witnesses soon began to discuss recent world<br />

happenings and the fulfillment <strong>of</strong> prophecy in these events,<br />

with the members <strong>of</strong> the club.<br />

The meeting which began at 3 p.m. sharp was on the<br />

subject "It Is High Time to Awake!" and the club members<br />

took the hint and turned up In full force to hear what it<br />

was all about. Without exception the club members listened<br />

with rapt attention and even when friends came to visit<br />

them from the village, no excuse was made to quit but, on<br />

the contrary, the visitors were requested to listen to the<br />

lecture. From this village no less than 80 persons were<br />

finally assembled.<br />

"In all the inhabited earth"<br />

<strong>Jehovah's</strong> witnesses do all within their power to get the<br />

good news <strong>of</strong> the Kingdom proclaimed everywhere. Recently<br />

one <strong>of</strong> the witnesses, who by reason <strong>of</strong> a rather serious<br />

accident was not able to take so active a part in preaching<br />

the gospel as he formerly had done, witnessed all the more<br />

to his near relatives. Among them was a lady who was deaf<br />

and dumb, and she was married to a man who was similarly<br />

afflicted. I
