COASTAL FOOTPATH<br />
While Lewis (the northern part of the Hebridean island<br />
known as Lewis & Harris) is rather flat, the more south -<br />
erly Harris has the most mountainous landscape in the<br />
Outer Hebrides. On the coast, however, not much can<br />
be seen of the mountains themselves.<br />
Starting from the remote settlement of Huisinis, our team<br />
walked and scrambled along the coastal footpath by<br />
the Caolas an Scarp, a narrow strait between Harris and<br />
the island of Scarp. This wonderful path leads to Tràigh<br />
Mheilein, one of the most beautiful beaches in the<br />
