INGENIUM Compact
Product range<br />
The <strong>Grasso</strong> Ingenium Compact is a series of high<br />
efficiency chillers with air cooled condensers for outdoor<br />
installation. The range comprises 8 different sizes in a<br />
capacity range from 80 up to 360 kW related to the<br />
production of cold water. Applied secondary refrigerants<br />
are water or glycol.<br />
The Ingenium Compact range is based on the well<br />
proven semi-hermetic <strong>Grasso</strong> reciprocating compressors,<br />
which has no shaft seal and therefore an outstanding<br />
safety against leakages.<br />
Ammonia is used as the refrigerant being natural and in<br />
compliance with all today‘s environmental issues.<br />
With a GWP = 0, Ammonia has unlimited sustainability<br />
being far superior to HFC‘s. Furthermore, the COP with<br />
Ammonia is up to 30% better and, therefore, a major<br />
contribution to essential energy savings.<br />

The air cooled condensers in compact W-execution have<br />
coil blocks with easy cleanable aluminium fins and<br />
galvanized steel pipes. The low noise fans are inverter<br />
controlled.<br />
The high efficiency shell & tube evaporators are<br />
equipped with stainless steel pipes.<br />
For operation at ambient air temperatures below 0 °C we<br />
offer optional winter kits.<br />
