Description/ Objective Implementing
Agency
To increase participation of the poor and
other citizens in tracking poverty
incidence, and making local government
budgets and expenditures more
transparent and accountable.
To provide services that ensure the
survival , and promote the physical and
mental development, of Filipino children
as well as establish an effective
partnership between the national and
local government units (LGUs) in
providing ECD services.
To support social service programs,
specifically for the DepEd and the DSWD.
The project components include provision
of funding for additional teaching facilities,
educational equipment, increased
teaching staff, and assistance to DSWD in
the delivery of social services to
vulnerable sectors such as children,
youth, women, senior citizens, and
persons with disabilities.
To improve performance (efficiency,
quality and equity) and governance
(transparency and accountability) in the
three social sector departments -
Education (DepEd), Health (DOH) and
Social Welfare (DSWD), as well as the
school building program implemented by
the Department of Public Works and
Highways (DPWH).
