SUMMARY<br />
The company <strong>ECO</strong> MADERA VERDE S.A. in its desire of increasing its<br />
competitiveness looks for to develop a plan that guides the construction and later<br />
operation of a system of preservation of wood for the species more affected by the<br />
attack of the destructive agents of the same one, this species the Sande (Brosimum utile),<br />
belonging to the family MORACEAE, suffers a decrease of 30% of the total volume<br />
that enters to the factory for the attack of the mentioned organisms.<br />
When being framed in an ecological line and with the limitation of the capital, <strong>ECO</strong><br />
MADERA VERDE S.A., looks for the ideal combination among an efficient chemical<br />
product that doesn't generate too much environmental impact and a good preservation<br />
method that it is framed in the managerial economic budget.<br />
It is as well as this investigation proposes the preservation of the wood of Sande with<br />
the use of salt soluble in water formed by boric acid and borax, for its clean nature and<br />
its null effects on people that have direct contact with the preservation process or with<br />
the finished product.<br />
It also experiences with the solution mentioned with 2 preservation methods, the<br />
immersion in cold preservative and the bathroom in hot and cold preservative, under 2<br />
solution concentrations in each one of them, to 3% AND 5%.<br />
As a result of the operation pilot with the limits before described, it is determined as<br />
method but efficient of preservation for the spice Sande, the bathroom of the pieces in<br />
hot and cold preservative, under a concentration of 5%, because this treatment allows to<br />
obtain a solid absorption of elements toxic average of 9,63 Kg. / m3 and a total<br />
penetration and standardize in the impregnated pieces.<br />
With this premise the investigation proposes the design of a system of preservation half<br />
