SUMMARY
The Arabic medicine of the centuries passed between Mahoma’s
(623) advent and the reconquest of Granada for the Spanish (1492)
shows a clever long billiard cue of immortal names. Among the most
famous they find the Persian one Abu Bakr Muhannad ibn Zakariyya
‘ to the-Rhazi (865-925 d. C.), better acquaintance as Rhazes, author
of the book Kitab to the-Mansuri, that was translated by Gerardo de
Cremona (1114-1187) with Liber’s ad Almansoren name of medicine
and that he treats in 10 parts of the whole theory and the practice of
the medicine, as it was known then. In the Latin text the work turned
into volume of consultation forced during the whole Middle Ages and
still he continued being used at the end of the century XVI. In this
book and in other publications, Rhazes repeats the theory hipocráticogalénica
of the humors to explain the disease, and the treatments that
he recommends, are directed the recovery of the balance humoral.
The accomplishments of the Arabic medicine represent one of the
most important and more fruitful manifestations inside this wonderful
civilization that he bloomed for seven centuries. In what he continues
we will do a sketch summarized of the topic, emphasizing the historical
- geographical general information on the theatre in which there acted
the scientific - cultural currents and the personage with whom we are
going to deal.

La conquista fulmínea por parte de los beduinos del desierto,
de gran parte del mundo conocido en aquella época, constituye uno
de los fenómenos más asombrosos de la historia universal. Pero
más asombrosa aún es la transformación rapidísima de este pueblo
de guerreros indómitos en un pueblo que supo crear una de las más
interesantes y fructíferas comunidades culturales conocidas en la historia,
con una fuerza de absorción excepcional, incluyendo a su organismo
todos los aportes de las civilizaciones anteriores y contemporáneas
(la siria, hebrea, bizantina, persa, griega e india), asimilándolas y
