Until a short time ago this concept
would have been something
completely unknown, even to
us, yet at the present time we
can provide anyone, family and
friends, with endless details about
various proposals for mimicking
nature and its benefits to life and
the environment. In this section
we propose an activity aimed at
all students who have studied
this topic in the classroom so
that everyone can share the
knowledge acquired with the rest
of the community in the centre.
This initiative, denominated
"Biomimetics Fair" aims to present
different practical proposals for
daily life with the aim of bringing
examples of biomimetics closer to
the centre and to our homes.
Divided into groups of four, the
students participating will have to
analyze and gather information
about a particular case of imitation
of nature with the aim of obtaining
benefits for the life of human beings
in their own environment: home,
educational centre, companies,
street, etc.
Subsequently, in the third
stage, each group will
present their case to the
visitors at the fair and,
to do so, will prepare a
detailed display in the form
of models, images, graphs,
audio visual documents,
etc.
In staging the work carried out, each
group will have their own distinctive
stand where there they can set
up their equipment by way of the
knowledge market. Visitors to the
fair, colleagues, teachers, relatives,
friends, staff from the centre etc. will
have the opportunity to get to know,
at first hand, and thanks to the new
experts, different ways of putting
into practice simple and beneficial
proposals.
