Cantidad calórica requerida • 1.- Entorno a 1500-1700 kcal/d • 2.- 1125-1176 kcal/d • 3.- Realizar medición del metabolismo basal mediante calorimetría indirecta • 4.- Hasta que el paciente sea saciado • 5.- Según coincida una vez ajustados los requerimientos de nutrientes esenciales y condicionantes en su patología, respetando unos mínimos calóricos.
REQUERIMIENTOS CALÓRICOS 1. Calorimetría indirecta (Costosa, poca disponibilidad) 2. Estimación indirecta del metabolismo basal: A) Fórmula de Harris-Benedict, considerando factores de corrección cuando se aplica a enfermos hospitalizados. (Puede sobrestimar o sobrevalorar las necesidades ya que el peso es muy variable y a veces es poco real en los pacientes hospitalizados). H: 66,47 + (13,75 x peso en kg) + (5 x altura en cm) – (6,76 x edad) x fc M: 665,1 + (9,6 x peso en kg) + (1,85 x altura en cm) – (4,68x edad) x fc B) 25-35 kcal/kg/día . (es preciso tener experiencia clínica para su aplicación correcta, utilizando el rango bajo o alto).
