dog cycle are proestrus, estrus, metaestrus and anestrus, with average length of 9, 9 y 70 days, and 5 months,
respectively. This review focuses in the characteristics of the stages of the bitch cycle and luteolysis in the
metaestus; as well estrus and ovulation in the anestrus. Veterinaria Zacatecas 2006; 2: 229-238.
