Nearly twenty Augustinian nuns participated in
the course and above all, that special occasion of
Augustinian spirituality course rendered an
opportunity to reflect about the teachings of St.
Augustine and it became a moment to share our
unity with the birds of the same feather of
Augustinian friendship.
On 28 th of April for a successful commencement
of our new mission in north India Fr. Anson
together with six brothers from the professorium
went to Madhya Pradesh for one month
mission experience. They could experience a
new outlook of evangelization by being a part of
mission activities. They were greatly assisted by
the Augustinian nuns working in the mission
fields of Madhya Pradesh and also were very
much fortunate to associate with certain mission
activities of parishes at Pansamel and Jalkheda
in Madhya Pradesh. So we expect that what we
have just started in north India would be useful
in the future to pave the way for a new mission
zone.
As part of the celebration of the year of faith,
we have started a year of faith event in the
form of film festival and it is opened to the
parishners too. And it was inaugurated on 16 th of
June. we firmly believe that this particular event
of the year of faith could bring forth an occasion
for all of us to know much more about the
zealous as well as the exemplary lives of certain
Augustinian saints and other saints of the
catholic church. Both nuns and parishioners were
also invited to watch the visual presentation of
the lives of saints in order to cherish their lives
with firm faith in Christ. The Indian Augustinians
once again were blessed with the Priestly
Ordination of Dn. Metro Xavier. Rev. Dn who
had been diligently administering the duties
entrusted to him, got ordained to priesthood on
the 19 th of June. All the fathers from different
communities participated and sought heavenly
blessings for him together with his family
members, relatives, nuns and dear ones. The
Augustinian Family wishes him all the best and
blessings to Rev. Fr. Metro.
The month of June also witnessed the visit of two
Augustinian Recollects: Fr. Carlos and Fr. Javier
from Spain to the Delegation as part of their
discerning process of opening a house in India.

The month of April as I mentioned earlier is the
period of final examinations and summer
vacations. The class re-opened on 1 st of April after
the Easter Celebrations. Science interested
students of Std IX to Plus Two had organized an
exhibition in our School campus and the real
talent of such students was very well displayed
through such an event. It was well appreciated by
the staff and students in general. Hindu Temple
festivals are very common in all over India.
Whenever there is a celebration in the nearby
temples, the School is given holiday and on 3 rd of
April was such a lovely day for the students and
staff.
Final examination and the Birthday celebration of
Fr. Thomas Joseph came together and as usual we
had common assembly of students and they all
wished and prayed for him.
The whole community participated in the funeral
of Mr. Samson, the father of Fr. Binukumar at
Kollam on 12 th of April even after travelling some
300 km from Pollachi. As it has been organized
earlier by the Delegation, the Annual Retreat of
Fathers was also a successful event in which our
community members too had an occasion to
participate.
Again, the Private school authorities in Tamilnadu
were invited to present their fee structure renewal
before the Fee-structure Committee headed by
District Judge and almost they agreed the new
proposal of fees for the coming three years. Both
the Fathers Jacob and Shiju also made use of the
