DESCRIPTION OF THE CHILD CAR SEAT<br />

• This child car seat is approved for Group 0, for<br />

children from birth up to 10 kg (from birth up to<br />

approximately 9 months of age). This child car seat<br />

must be fitted only in a backward-facing position.<br />

• This child car seat is approved for Group 1,<br />

for children from 9 up to 18 kg (from 9 months<br />

up to approximately 4 years of age). This child<br />

car seat must be fitted only in a forward-facing<br />

position.<br />

HOW TO ADJUST THE CHILD CAR SEAT<br />

The child car seat can be adjusted to different positions<br />

to offer your child maximum comfort.<br />

• To adjust the child car seat, use the red lever located<br />

at the front of the child car seat, between the<br />

base and the shell (fig. 2).<br />

• WARNING: After adjusting the inclination of the<br />

child car seat, ensure that the car safety belt is well<br />

tensioned, and that the safety harness of the child<br />

car seat is fitted in the correct position.<br />

GROUP 0.<br />

CHILD CAR SEAT FITTED IN A<br />

BACKWARDFACING POSITION<br />

• From birth up to 10 kg<br />

• The child car seat must be fitted only with a 3-point<br />

safety belt approved to UN/ECE Regulation No.<br />

16, or other equivalent standards.<br />

• WARNING: Do not fit the child car seat into the<br />

front seat if the car is equipped with an Airbag.<br />

• Adjust the child car seat to its most vertical position<br />

(see para<strong>gr</strong>aph “HOW TO ADJUST THE CHILD<br />

CAR SEAT”). Place the child car seat onto the front<br />

passenger, or rear seat of the car, in a backwardfacing<br />

position.<br />

• Pull the safety belt of the car completely, and insert<br />

the lap part of the car safety belt under the base of<br />

the child car seat (fig. 4A).<br />

• Insert the diagonal part of the safety belt into the<br />

guides, located at the rear of the child car seat<br />

(Please refer to the blue labels on the child car<br />

seat) (fig. 4B).<br />

• Lock the buckle of the car safety belt, and pull the<br />

belt towards the retractor.<br />

• Place the plastic clamp (fig. 1B – n. 10) onto<br />

the diagonal section of car safety belt, against<br />

the guides located on the upper part of the shell<br />

(fig. 6A and 6B).<br />

• Ensure that the car safety belt is not twisted or<br />

damaged, and that it is well-tensioned.<br />

GROUP 1.<br />

CHILD CAR SEAT FITTED IN A<br />

FORWARD-FACING POSITION<br />

• From 9 up to 18 kg<br />

• The child car seat must be fitted only with a 3-point<br />

safety belt approved to UN/ECE Regulation No.<br />

16, or other equivalent standards.<br />

• Place the child car seat onto the seat, in a forwardfacing<br />

position (fig. 7).<br />

• Pull the car safety belt, and slide the buckle<br />

through the backrest of the child car seat, between<br />

the plastic shell and the base (Please refer to the<br />

red labels on the child car seat – fig.8).<br />

• Lock the buckle of the car safety belt.<br />

• Pull the belt tightly, making it adhere correctly to<br />

the child car seat. Ensure the safety belt is fitted<br />

safely against the car seat (fig.9A).<br />

• Position the plastic clamp onto the car safety belt,<br />

near the buckle of the diagonal part of the belt<br />

(fig. 9B).<br />

• Ensure that the safety belt is well-tensioned and<br />

not twisted.<br />

CHILD CAR SEAT SAFETY HARNESS<br />

How to lock the buckle<br />

• Join the 2 prongs of the buckle side by side (fig.<br />

10A). Insert the 2 prongs into the buckle, until a<br />

CLICK is heard, indicating they have been inserted<br />

correctly (fig. 10B and 10C ).<br />

• To open the buckle, push the red button located<br />

on it.<br />

• Always ensure that your child does not unfasten the<br />

buckle of the safety harness.<br />

How to adjust the safety harness<br />

• To tension the safety harness, pull the adjustment<br />

strap, as shown in dia<strong>gr</strong>am 11.<br />

• Adjust the safety harness, until it is correctly fitted<br />

to the child’s body.<br />

• To loosen the safety harness, press the adjustment
