Any use of the unit for uses other thanfor that which it was intended is considered improperand therefore dangerous; Artsana cannot be held liablefor damages caused by improper, incorrect and /or unreasonable use of the unit or in cases where theunit is used in electrical systems not compliant withsafety regulations.• A power outage, a sudden malfunction or any otheradverse condition may cause the unit to stop working;therefore, it is recommended that users equipthemselves with an alternate unit or type of medicine(agreed upon with a doctor) that can be used in theevent this occurs.· As soon as the unit has been removed from its packaging,ensure that it is intact and that there is novisible damage that may have been inflicted duringtransport. When in doubt, do not use the unit andcontact your Artsana S.p.A dealer or distributor.· NEVER DISASSEMBLE THE UNIT. All technical interventionsmust be carried out by Artsana-authorisedpersonnel. For information contact your ArtsanaS.p.A dealer or distributor.• Keep all packaging materials (plastic bags, boxes,etc.) out of the reach of children as they may be dangerous.• Before connecting the unit make sure the informationon the data plate are compatible with yourelectricity distribution network. This information islocated on the bottom of the unit.• In case of incompatibility between the unit’s plugand the electrical socket, use adapters that have beencertified under existing legislation in the individualcountries or have an Artsana SpA authorised technicianreplace the plug.• To prevent overheating and damage to the compressor,switch off the unit for at least 40 minutes afterevery 20 minutes of continuous use.• To ensure correct operation, make sure that the airfilter is dry.• Do not use the unit in the presence of nitrous oxide,oxygen or anaesthetic mixtures flammable with air.• Switch off and disconnect the unit from the mainsafter every use and before adding another type ofmedicine. Do not excessively fill the phial.• Keep the unit and the power cable away from hotsurfaces.• Do not use the unit while taking a shower or a bathor in any humid environment, near bathtubs, sinks,faucets etc.• Never touch the unit with wet or humid hands.• Never drop or immerse the unit in water or otherliquids. Should this occur, immediately disconnectthe plug, stop use of the unit and consult technicallyqualified personnel.· Should the unit be wet accidentally, immediatelydisconnect the plug, carefully dry the unit and ifthere is the possibility that the liquid has penetratedinside the unit, contact your Artsana S.p.A dealer ordistributor.· Do not block the ventilation openings during use.• Do not use the unit if you feel tired or drowsy.10
