Forces of Nature
“El mundo humano interior se parece en mucho al mundo
natural exterior.
Somos parte de todo el ciclo de fuerzas cósmicas.
Tenemos mareas altas y mareas bajas.
Somos tan volátiles como los volcanes y explotamos sin
previo aviso.
Nos levantamos y regocijamos con la dorada energía del sol.
Celebramos en luna nueva y luna llena.
Bailamos al ritmo de la brisa y cantamos a las estrellas a
medianoche.
Anhelamos alcanzar las cimas de las montañas y hacer
lo imposible.
Meditamos ante la tranquilidad de los lagos y sus misteriosos
secretos.
Amamos a la manera del trueno en la tormenta.
Derramamos lágrimas al igual que la lluvia.
La belleza que nos rodea invade la profundidad de nuestras
almas e inspira nuestra creación.
Escribimos. Pintamos. Esculpimos.
Y tocamos música para celebrar nuestra alegría de vivir.
Cuando la tierra tiembla, se estremece, se quema, se inunda;
Cuando el viento gira y se contorsiona,
nos ponemos de rodillas ante nuestros dioses y entendemos
cuán pequeños somos ante las fuerzas de la naturaleza”.

“The inner human world closely resembles the outer
natural world.
We are part of the whole cycle of cosmic forces.
We have high tides & low tides.
We are volatile like volcanoes, exploding without any
warning.
We rise & are elated by the golden energy of the sun.
We celebrate when the moon is new & when it is full.
We dance to the rhythms of the breeze & sing to the stars
in the midnight sky.
We aspire to reach for mountain tops & do the impossible.
We meditate the tranquility of the lakes & their hidden
secrets.
We love like the thunder of the storm.
We shed tears like the drops of rain.
The beauty that surrounds us permeates into the depth
of our souls & inspires us to be creative.
Write poetry. Paint pictures. Carve stones
and play music to celebrate our joy for life.
When the earth quakes, trembles, burns, floods,
When the wind twists & turns, blindly crushing what lies
in its path,
we kneel to our gods and know that we are small
against the forces of nature ”.
