A To start playback<br />

Playback 3<br />

In the stop mode, press the PLAY/PAUSE button (y/J).<br />

B To suspend playback temporarily (pause mode)<br />

Press the PLAY/PAUSE button (y/J) during playback.<br />

The image freezes with <strong>DVD</strong> or VCD discs, or music is<br />

interrupted with MP3 discs or CDs.<br />

To resume playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button (y/J).<br />

C To stop playback of a CD, VCD, or MP3<br />

Press the STOP button (H).<br />

D To stop and resume playback of a <strong>DVD</strong>/VCD<br />

If you press the STOP button (H) during <strong>DVD</strong>/VCD playback,<br />

“Press Play Key To Continue” is displayed on the TV screen for<br />

a while and the unit runs in resume mode.<br />

If you want to cancel the resume mode and stop playback<br />

completely, press the STOP button (H) again.<br />

To resume playback<br />

When you stop playback of a <strong>DVD</strong>/VCD by pressing the STOP<br />

button (H), the interrupted point is kept in memory and<br />

playback starts from that point when you press the<br />

PLAY/PAUSE button (y/J).<br />

< The memory is cleared if you disconnect the power cord.<br />

E To open the disc tray<br />

Press the OPEN/CLOSE button (L) to open the disc tray.<br />

Last Memory<br />

If you open the disc tray during playback of a <strong>DVD</strong>, “Open” is<br />

displayed on the TV screen. If you close the disc tray with the<br />

<strong>DVD</strong> on it, “Last memory” is displayed on the screen and<br />

playback automatically starts from the point where playback<br />

was stopped.<br />

G Power Off Function<br />

When the unit is left in the stop mode for about 20 minutes,<br />

the unit enters power standby mode.<br />
