Installation Installation on the steering column 1. Install the microphone in the microphone clip. Microphone Microphone clip Fit the microphone cord in the groove. 2. Mount the microphone clip on the steering column. Double-sided tape Clamps Use clamps to secure the lead where necessary inside the vehicle. Install the microphone clip on the steering column, keeping it away from the steering wheel. Adjusting the microphone angle The microphone angle can be adjusted by moving forward or backward the microphone clip angle. 27
After Installing this Navigation System 1. Reconnecting the battery. First, double-check that all connections are correct and that this navigation system is installed correctly. Reassemble all vehicle components that you previously removed. Then reconnect the negative (–) cable to the negative (–) terminal of the battery. 2. Start the engine. 3. Press the RESET button on the navigation unit. Press the RESET button on the navigation system using a pointed object such as the tip of a pen. 4. Enter the following settings: 1. Make any necessary installation angle adjustments. (Refer to “Correcting the installation angle” in the Operation Manual.) 2. Drive until the initialised sensors start operating normally. 3. Set the time and language. Set the navigation system as explained in the Operation Manual or Hardware Manual.
