4 Preparing appliance<br />

1WARNING<br />

Electric shock hazard<br />

•Always remove the water boiler 6 from the appliance<br />

before filling and always fill it away from the appliance.<br />

• Do not pour water into the compartment 3, into which the<br />

water boiler 6 is inserted.<br />

NOTICE<br />

Damage to the appliance<br />

•The water boiler 6 must be replaced in the case of cracks,<br />

leaks or irremovable limescale.<br />

Damage to water boiler<br />

• Do not immerse the water boiler 6 in water or other<br />

liquids.<br />

• Do not put the water boiler 6 in the dishwasher.<br />

1. Push the lock of the cover 5 forwards.<br />

➥ The cover 5 automatically opens upwards.<br />

2. Open / unlock the water boiler 6 with the handle 1 and lift it out of<br />

the compartment 3.<br />

1WARNING<br />

Risk of scalding<br />

•Only fill the water boiler 6 with water.<br />

• Aromas and additives may not be used.<br />

Aromas and additives may have an adverse effect on the<br />

treatment result, possibly even damage health or escape<br />

from the steam distributor 3 as hot liquid or foam.<br />

3. Fill the water boiler 6 up to the max mark with water.<br />

➥ The level indicator 2 shows the water level.<br />

4. Place the water boiler 6 vertically in the compartment 3 using the<br />

side guideways 4 and slide it down slowly and carefully.<br />

• Do not spill any water into the compartment 3.<br />

5. Close the lid by pulling down the handle 1.<br />

➥ This locks the water boiler 6 into place.<br />

6. Press the cover 5 down until it audibly snaps into place.<br />
