La télophase : pendant la télophase la membrane nucléaire unique se dissout pour se reconstituer autour de chaque noyau fils. Par la suite se produit une recondensation nucléaire, c'est à dire un épaississement de la chromatine périphérique (photos n° 29 et n° 30). Au début de ce stade le caryosome ou centre cinétique, disparaît, pour réapparaître par la suite dans chaque noyau fils (photos n° 30 et n° 31). Il est a noter que le type de mitose d'Entamoeba histolytica (fuseau qui diverge vers les pôles) est également celui de Leishmania tropica. Les deux noyaux sont pendant cette phase dans un seul cytoplasme (photo n° 32). La cytodiérèse : le cytoplasme se sépare en deux avec un noyau dans chaque nouvelle amibe (photos n° 33 et n° 34).
