And the wall socket is properly grounded.• To reduce the risk of fire in the oven cavity:• Do not overcook the food.• Remove wire twist-ties from paper or plastic bags before placing food in the oven.• Do not heat oil or fat for deep drying as the temperature of oil cannot be controlled.• After use, wipe the waveguide cover with a damp cloth, followed by a dry cloth to remove anyfood splashes <strong>and</strong> grease. Built-up grease may overheat <strong>and</strong> cause smoke or catch fire.• If materials inside the oven would smoke or ignite, keep oven door closed, turn oven off <strong>and</strong>disconnect the power supply.• To reduce the risk of explosion <strong>and</strong> sudden boiling:• Do not place sealed containers in the oven. Baby bottles fitted with a screw cap or teat areconsidered to be sealed containers.• When boiling liquid in the oven, use wide containers <strong>and</strong> st<strong>and</strong> about 20 seconds at the end ofcooking to avoid delayed eruptive boiling of liquids.• Eggs, potatoes, sausage <strong>and</strong> chestnut should be peeled or pierced before cooking.• The cooked eggs or liquid should not be removed out immediately. Wait a few minutes in order toavoid possible hazards caused by delayed eruptive boiling of liquids.• The contents of feeding bottles <strong>and</strong> baby food jars are to be stirred or shaken <strong>and</strong> the temperatureis to be checked before consumption, in order to avoid burns.• Never operate the oven if the door is damaged or if the oven does not work properly or if supplycord is damaged.• Return the appliance to the nearest authorised service centre for repair <strong>and</strong> maintenance. Nevertry to adjust or repair the oven yourself.• If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or aqualified technician in order to avoid a shock hazard.• After cooking, the container is very hot. Use gloves to take out the food <strong>and</strong> take care of steamburns by opening the container from the side.• To prevent the turntable from breaking:• Let the turntable cool down before cleaning.• Do not place hot foods or utensils on the cold turntable.19
