To avoidodors, leave the door open to allow the washer to drybetween uses.Empty pockets, zip zippers, and snap or hook fasteners beforewashing to avoid snags and tears.Tie all strings and straps before starting wash load.Mend rips and broken threads in seams before washing.Avoid tightly packing the washer. Load with dry items only.<strong>Use</strong> cycle designed for the fabrics being washed.Add only 1 or 2 additional garments after washer is started.Do not pour liquid chlorine bleach directly onto load. Wipe upbleach spills.Undiluted bleach will damage fabrics. Do not use more thanrecommended by manufacturer.The transfer of dye can occur when mixing whites and colors ina load. Sort dark clothes from whites and lights.<strong>Use</strong> hot or warm washes if safe for the load. Make sure your hotwater system is adequate to provide a hot water wash.<strong>Use</strong> more detergent for washing heavy soils in cold orhard water.Do not overfill dispenser. Overfilling causes immediate dispensing.Clean the dispenser compartments, see “Cleaning the Dispenser”for more information.Load dispensers before starting a cycle.Measure detergent and fabric softener. Slowly pour into thedispensers. Wipe up all spills.Homes with low water pressure may result in residual powder in thedispenser. To avoid, select a warmer wash temperature if possible,depending on your load.<strong>Use</strong> only liquid chlorine bleach in the liquid chlorine bleachcompartment.Add color-safe bleach or oxi products to the HE detergentcompartment or directly to the washer basket before adding theload. Do not use the chlorine bleach dispenser for color-safe bleachor oxi products.It is normal for small amounts of water to remain in dispenser at theend of the cycle.20
