Through shapes and colours, Hélène Chabot expresses
her most intimate emotions and the specific atmospheres
which move her.
At night, the artist lets loose on the canvas and waits for
the morning light to refine the details. She applies layers
of paint successively, working on textures, to obtain
paintings that stimulate our senses.
Women by a
woman
Hélène Chabot’s subjects of choice are women. They are
all different and never painted in an academic manner.
With their fine faces and long necks, they are reminiscent
of a certain…Modigliani.
The artist’s paintings are timeless and represent women
from all eras; women who move us and whose gazes
seem to tell a different story from that of their bodies.
