Take a stroll in the heart of the wonderfully

restored hilltop village. You

can visit Saint-Michel, a superb,

Romanesque-style Provençal church

built in granite and limestone, which

has undergone a few modifications to

its original architecture, such as the

construction of the bell tower in the16th

century and the addition of the sacristy

in the 18th century. Make sure you don't

miss the Penitents' Chapel, built in the

15th century. You are free to visit it, as

well as the Saint-Roch mill. Finally, go

down to the Pont des Fées, a bridge

that is built in an admirable natural setting,

before reaching the climax of your

stroll – the château. Overlooking the

plain, it stands on rocky high ground

that has undoubtedly been occupied

since ancient times. The present-day

large rampart was built between the

late 13th and early 14th century, but the

château has been enlarged over the

centuries since then. It enables you to

admire a magnificent panoramic view

of the coast.
