The economic crisis that broke out in the autumn of 2008 made the public more financially
conscious, and while there was a reduction in the strong consumer demand generated
by the availability in the market of cheap foreign currency-based loans whose
risks, however, had not been properly addressed, the importance of savings and in particular
self-reliance gradually came into the fore. Self-reliance became one of the most
frequently used phrases during the socio-economic consultation in post-crisis Hungary,
and once again attracted society’s attention.
Of the possible forms of self-reliance, the Fundamenta home savings scheme is perhaps
the only one which offers a solution for all situations in life.
Making a home with the right living conditions plays a very important role in people’s
lives. The home for most people is their greatest accumulated wealth, a major scene of
their life and family, where society reproduces.
The Fundamenta home savings scheme is a pre-payment based financial scheme which
provides risk-free, exceptionally secure savings that can be planned in advance, as well
as a home loan option. In 2010 the home savings scheme appeared in the focus of
home-making in Hungary as the government made self-reliance, and especially home
savings, a key element in its home-making programme.
Fundamenta regards increasing the public’s need for self-reliance and offering a ready
solution for realising all kinds of home plans as its mission.
The article reveals that the Fundamenta savings scheme is a form of self-reliance which
must be part of everyone’s financial portfolio.

As in several EU countries, the postal market will open in Hungary in 2013. This fact will
have a major impact on Magyar Posta’s market position, particularly with regard to mail
traffic, primarily in the letter market. In order to prepare for the anticipated challenges,
Magyar Posta is adapting its strategy to meet the changes and in part will accelerate
developments that have already been started and in part launch new developments.
The greatest challenge concerns the letter market, whose traffic will be eroded by new
rivals as well as electronic replacement solutions. To counter one of these, the Company
is preparing a defensive programme, and is planning an offensive programme in
