successfully organised by the undergraduates of Office System
Management under the Office System Society (OSYS). Due to
the overwhelming response, participation in OSYS Talent
UiTM Sarawak. The participants demonstrated their talents
including singing, dancing, playing instrumentals, taking part in
stand-up comedy, poetry and so on. The event’s main objective
ANYBODY CAN DANCE (ABCD)
STREET COMPETITION 2016
By: Frannelya Francis
NUSAS (Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences) is not just about nursing and its services. Hence,
on 16 August 2016, NUSAS was back with a challenge of doing something different - organizing a dance
competition. This competition, which was held at Dewan Jubli, Samarahan 1 Campus, aimed to sharpen
students’ leadership skills and strengthen the bond between nursing students and lecturers. The competition
started with a dance gimmick performed by the organizer. Six groups competed and were evaluated by three
invited judges. The first to third winners brought back trophies, mock cheques and certificates. Meanwhile, the
consolation prize winners took home hampers and certificates. All prizes were given away by Miss Norazlin
Abdullah, the Faculty’s Ketua Pusat Pengajian. This event had successfully provided valuable lessons for the
nursing students, particularly in handling ticketing, arranging and sourcing suitable music, publicizing, and
staging. The event had attracted a large crowd of students from both campuses. Thank you for supporting the
ABCD Street Competition 2016!
