Il Sasso Caveoso ha un aspetto antico,<br />
le abitazioni sono quasi completamente<br />
scavate nella roccia, una pietra<br />
calcarea che i materani chiamano tufo,<br />
e sono rimaste quasi completamente<br />
integre rispetto al passato.<br />
Camminando lungo la strada<br />
panoramica che costeggia l’orlo della<br />
gravina si giunge nel cuore del Sasso<br />
Barisano, il più costruito, che oggi si<br />
presenta in gran parte ristrutturato con<br />
suggestive strutture di charme.<br />
