Wood burning stove/cooker – TERMOROSA TR02
Later clean the smoke passage under the oven proceeding in the following way:
1. open oven door.
2. remove the two screws that fix the panel to the base of the oven close to the threshold (see Picture 9);
3. remove the horizontal sheet metal which is the base of the oven;
4. clean the chamber below from any accumulations of ash which can obstruct the passage;
5. check the position of the smoke deflector (see Picture 10);
6. reassemble the sheet metal after checking integrity of the seal ring;
7. fix the self-threading screws.
Be careful that after cleaning all the removed parts are reinstalled hermetically
15.2. CLEANING OF GLASS
Through a specific secondary air entry the formation of dirt deposit, on the glass of the door, is efficiently
slowed down. It can never be avoided with the use of solid fuels (e.g. damp wood) and this is not to be
considered a fault of the appliance.
IMPORTANT: cleaning the panoramic glass must be carried out exclusively when the wood burning
stove/cooker is cold to avoid explosion. Do not use cloths, abrasive or aggressively
chemical products.
BREAKAGE OF GLASS: the windows being in ceramic glass resistant to a thermal temperature
imbalance of 750°C are not subject to thermal shock s. Their breakage can only be caused by
mechanical shock (knocks or violent closure of the door, etc.). Therefore its replacement is not
covered by the guarantee.
15.3.CLEANING ASH DRAWER
All LA NORDICA wood burning stoves/cookers have a furnace grill and an ash drawer to collect ash. We
advise you to empty the ash drawer periodically and to avoid total filling up, so as not to overheat the grill.
We also advise you to always leave 3-4 cm of ash in the furnace.
WARNING: the ash removed from the furnace should be placed in a recipient of fire proof material with a
tin lid. The recipient should be placed on a fire proof floor, far from inflammable materials until
it burns out and cools the ash completely.
15.4.THE MAJOLICA
LA NORDICA majolica are products of high artisan workmanship and as such can have micro dotting
crackling and chromatic imperfections. These characteristics are a sign of its valuable nature.
Enamel and majolica for their different dilation coefficient, produce micro scratches (crackling) which show
their effective authenticity.
To clean the majolica use a soft dry cloth; if any detergent or liquid is used it could penetrate inside the
crackles highlighting them.
15.5. MAINTENANCE ON THE WATER SYSTEM
With the system switched off, once a year carry out the following checks:
• Check the operation and efficiency of the blowdown and safety valves. If they are defective, contact
your authorised installer. IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN TO REMOVE OR TAMPER WITH THE
SAFETY DEVICES.
• Check the thermal insulation of the filling pipe and the safety pipe.
• Make sure that the system is filled and under pressure, checking the water level in the expansion
tank; also check that it is working properly and check the efficiency of the safety pipe.
16. SUMMER PERIOD OF INACTIVITY
WARNING: The system should be kept constantly full of water even in periods in which the use of the
wood burning stove/cooker is not required. During the winter, inactivity must be faced with
the addition of antifreeze.
After cleaning the furnace, chimney and flue, eliminating the ash and any other residue completely, close
all the doors of the furnace and the relevant registers and disconnect the appliance from the chimney.
