Il cuore istruttivo della manifestazione, due giorni di panoramica
internazionale per un osservatorio intensivo sui migliori esempi di cultura
del paesaggio e del giardino.
Le più autorevoli firme internazionali del landscaping - paesaggisti,
garden designer, fotografi ed esperti del settore - si riuniscono all’Aula
Magna dell’Università degli Studi di Bergamo incontrando un pubblico
eterogeneo e appassionato.

GREEN SQUARES
Allestimenti temporanei e suggestivi nascono ogni anno dal genio di
maestri paesaggisti d’eccezione che ne recano la loro impronta stilistica.
Le Green Square sono un esercizio progettuale temporaneo che
concretizza l’idea di paesaggio e la collega con l’architettura, la storia,
l’arte e la natura del luogo. Ogni allestimento è coerente con il focus di
ogni singola edizione.
Green Square, a beautiful but temporary instalment born from the genius
of masters of the landscape who apply their talent to a symbolic part of
the city and coding it in green, takes place every year. It represents an
intelligent meeting-point between man and the environment.
Green Square is an exercise in a short-term project that gives concrete
form to the idea of landscape conversing with the architecture, the history,
the art and the nature of a particular place. A visible emblem of sensitivity
coming together with aesthetics and functionality, it becomes also a
moment, for every passer-by, of amazement and of reflection.
Each Green Square is an instalment that follows the focus of the specific
edition of the Event. Traditionally, the piazza which hosts the main green
instalment is Bergamo’s splendid Piazza Vecchia in the heart of Città Alta,
but the Event is now so widespread that it touches various and distant
parts of the city.
The formative heart of the event, two intensive days to observe the
culture of the landscape and garden, where the most well-known names
from the world of landscaping – landscape architects, garden designers,
photographers and other experts – come together before a vast public.
