Pennsylvania Facilities Welcome WCMA Tours Photos By Jonathan McBride Lewisburg, PA–Wood Component Manufacturers Association (WCMA) members and technology partners convened here recently to participate in the 2014 WCMA Fall Conference & Plant Tour. Attendees were hosted in several educational sessions and toured six plants in the Lewisburg area. Among the plants toured were: • Tilo Industries, Lewisburg, PA, which expanded from a small two-man moulding shop to today’s 24,000-square-foot facility that employs 25 people servicing both national and international markets. Tilo’s processing equipment includes an optimizing rip saw and optimizing chop saw, along with stateof-the-art moulders and several smaller machines to produce a wide variety of products. Located in the heart of Pennsylvania Hardwood country, Heister House prides itself on being a one-stop-shop for wood products. The company has been a manufacturer of doors and wood components in the kitchen cabinet industry since 1964. Conestoga’s manufacturing capabilities cover five facilities with two located in central Pennsylvania: Beavertown and Beaver Springs. The Beavertown location serves as a dimension mill supplying Conestoga’s custom and OEM divisions. Beaver Springs is home to OEM and contract manufacturing for high volume products.
