This new equipment enables Netterville Lumber Company to specialize in 8-foot to 30-foot timbers, switch ties, and industrial crane mat material. Buttice was born and raised in Logansport and obtained a degree in criminal justice from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. She became a police officer for IUPD, while attending college. After graduating she helped open the Emmaus Mission Homeless Shelter, where she served as director at the age of Jennifer Buttice 22. She returned to police work, first at Indiana University and then continuing at Carmel Police Department in Carmel, IN, where she started doing fundraising for the Fraternal Order of Police. After leaving Law Enforcement, she moved home to get back to her roots. While she was involved in fundraising for the Cass County Humane Society, Buttice met Cole Hardwood President Milt Cole who saw her overwhelming potential and solid motivation to work with people. After listening to her presentation for the Humane Society, he took immediate action and offered her a position on the sales team. Born and raised in Union City, PA, Smith attended Allegheny College, Meadville, PA, majoring in political science and communications. Smith worked as an intern for Ron Jones Hardwood Sales Inc. for two years and worked at the lumberyard during his senior year in college. “I Brett Smith traveled to the IWF in Atlanta in 2012,” Smith explained. “In 2013 I went to Las Vegas and attended the AWFS show and worked inside and outside the office that year helping to develop a new website that’s been released just recently.” After graduating from college, Smith took the National Hardwood Lumber Association’s Inspector Training School’s short course in Randolph, NY, and a dry kiln course hosted by Penn State University.
