M W S Marietta Wood Supply inc. WHO’S WHO IN HARDWOOD PURCHASING BECKY BERON is purchasing agent, accountant and human resources officer for Bremtown Fine Custom Cabinetry, located in Bremen, IN. Bremtown Fine Custom Cabinetry manufactures custom kitchen cabinetry using Alder, Aspen, Butternut, Cherry, Soft Maple, Oak, and Walnut. Approximately 100,000 board feet is purchased per year by the company (mostly Select and Better, 4/4 and 5/4, all rough, surfaced on-site). The company also purchases plywood. Beron graduated from Fairfield High School, Goshen, IN, in 1975, and Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA, in 1995. She has been with the company for 13 years in her current position. Currently Beron handles lumber purchasing, human resources and company accounts. Bremtown Fine Custom Cabinetry is a member of the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association. Founded in 1906, the company has been crafting cabinetry for the kitchen and bath industry for over a century. Purchasing and processing approximately 2,000,000 board feet of 4/4, No. 1 Common Hardwood lumber annually, the main species handled by Marsh Bruce Collins Lumber include Ash, Red Oak, Hard and Soft Maple, Cherry, and Birch. Collins graduated from South Florence High School, Florence, SC, in 1980 and attended Florence Darlington Technical College. He has been employed with Marsh Lumber for 34 years with responsibilities over the years including Hardwood lumber inspection, kiln drying operations, production control, purchasing, and facility management. HALPERN is the founder of Halpern’s Furniture, located in New Orleans, LA. Keiver-Willard manufactures stock and custom mouldings and flooring. Yearly lumber purchasing volumes are approximately 8 million board feet (Select and Better, No. 1 Common, Rustic, KD, 4/4 through 16/4, rough, flatsawn as well as Rift and Quartered.) Species include Jack Little Alder, Ash, Basswood, Beech, Birch, Cherry, Hickory and Hard and Soft Maple, Red and White Oak, Poplar, among others. The company is also FSC certified. Value-added services include moulding and millwork, planing, ripping, sanding, re-sawing, as well as priming and finishing. The company also offers most species of domestic Hardwood and some imported species. Little graduated from Triton Regional High School, Byfield, MA, in 1980. He started with Keiver-Willard in 1986 shipping lumber and running dry kilns. Little has worked in purchasing for 19 years, a position in which he handles lumber procurement and inventory control, as well as coordinating and communicating with key personnel to help facilitate orders. Keiver-Willard is a member of the National Hardwood Lumber Association, New England Lumbermen’s Association, Hardwood Manufacturers Association, among others. Little has served as past president of both the New England Kiln Drying Association and the New England Lumbermen’s Association, and director of the Hardwood Manufacturers Association. He received the Jim Catterick Industrial Award in 2007. Little enjoys camping and the outdoors, watching sports, and spending time with family. He has been an active musician in a 1960’s show band for the past 18 years. He has been married to Dalia for 26 years and the couple has two daughters.
