Both the Dallison and New River acquisitions fit well with AWP’s existing footprint in the Appalachian Hardwood region and the proximity to existing locations will allow for some synergies both in timber procurement and lumber and log sales. Founded in 1973 with a single sawmill located in Riverton, WV, AWP has grown steadily over the past 40 years. AWP has a history of being active in the National Hardwood Lumber Association, Appalachian Hardwood Manufacturers Inc., American Hardwood Export Council and West Virginia Forestry Association.
