Burning chipboard, lacquered, painted or impregnated wood, as well as plastic and rubber is prohibited. It harms both the environment and the stove.Fuelling in generalFast or high heatYou can obtain fast or high heat by burning many small pieces of woodMaximum fuellingMaximum amount of fuel at one time 2.3 kg of wood or 1.9 kg of briquettesIf this limit is exceeded, the stove is no longer covered by the factory guarantee and may be damageddue to excessive heat.Slow burningSlow burning can be achieved by burning one or two very large pieces of wood and pushing theregulating rod to the right.Avoid using too little fuelIf the fireproof materials in the combustion chamber become „black“ when the stove has been litthis means that the stove is polluting and the automatic air supply system has not been functioningoptimally. The regulating rod should therefore be pushed further to the left. It may also be necessaryto burn larger quantities of wood. The chimneyGeneralThe chimney is the stove’s „engine“ and is decisive for its proper functioning. This can only be achievedif the stove and the chimney have been installed in accordance with the instructions, as it willotherwise be impossible to obtain satisfactory combustion. The draught in the chimney creates anegative pressure in the stove which removes the smoke from the stove, sucks in air for the windowrinsingprocess and in through the primary and secondary draught control vents to the combustionchamber. The draught in the chimney is created by the difference in temperature inside and outside the chimney. The higher the temperature in the chimney, the better the draught will be. It is therefore absolutelyessential that the chimney is thoroughly heated before the stove is used as an open fireplace andbefore closing the draught control vents and reducing the rate of combustion in the stove (a brickchimney will take longer to heat up than a steel chimney).Even a good chimney may function poorly if it is used incorrectly, on the other hand, even a poorchimney could function well if it is used properly.Requirements of the chimneyThe chimney must be tall enough to ensure a proper draught and prevent the smoke producing anyinconvenience. WALL has a rated draught of approx. 15 Pa.The chimney must have a minimum aperture diameter corresponding to 150 mm.49
