João Carlos Mar tins, após abandonar sua<br />
consagrada carreira <strong>de</strong> pianista <strong>de</strong>vido a problemas<br />
físicos, canalizou para a regência sua paixão pela<br />
música e pela obra <strong>de</strong> Bach. I<strong>de</strong>alizador e diretor<br />
da Bachiana Chamber Orchestra, genuinamente<br />
brasileira e produto <strong>de</strong> expor tação <strong>de</strong> nossa<br />
cultura musical, o Maestro se apresenta à frente da<br />
orquestra no dia 25/04, às 19h30m, na Esplanada<br />
dos Ministérios, entre a Biblioteca Nacional e o<br />
Museu Nacional, com entrada gratuita ao público.<br />

Tênis com Maria Esther Bueno<br />
Este ano, a maior tenista brasileira <strong>de</strong> todos os tempos e uma das principais<br />
estrelas do tênis mundial comemora 50 anos <strong>de</strong> duas conquistas históricas: os<br />
torneios <strong>de</strong> Wimbledon e US Open.<br />
Mas antes <strong>de</strong> embarcar para o exterior, on<strong>de</strong> será <strong>de</strong>vidamente homenageada,<br />
Maria Esther estará em Brasília para “bater uma bolinha” com alguns<br />
convidados VIP do evento, incluindo Thomaz Koch. Esse momento especial <strong>de</strong><br />
confraternização acontecerá sábado (25/04), na Vila do Tênis & Squash.<br />

This year the greatest Brazilian tennis player of all times and one of the biggest<br />
stars in world tennis will celebrate 50 years of two historical achievements:<br />
Wimbledon and US Open tournaments.<br />
Before leaving Brazil to attend her tributes, Ms. Bueno will be in Brasilia to<br />
“play a quick game” with some VIP guests, including Thomaz Koch. This<br />
very special fellowship event will take place at Vila do Tênis & Squash on<br />
Saturday, April 25.<br />

career as a pianist due to health disor<strong>de</strong>rs,<br />
João Carlos Martins drove his passion for<br />
music and Bach towards conducting an<br />
orchestra. He has assembled and directed<br />
the Bachiana Chamber Orchestra, a genuine<br />
Brazilian channel to export our musical<br />
culture. He will be performing at Ministerial<br />
Esplana<strong>de</strong>, between the National Library and<br />
National Museum, on April 25, 7.30p.m. Free<br />
