As respostas estão nos rankings que traduzem os cálculos da FIVB. Ranking Mundial Determina a dupla campeã do Circuito Mundial após o último torneio da temporada. Todas as duplas iniciam a temporada com zero, e o Ranking Mundial totalizará os resultados de 75% dos eventos. No caso de uma temporada ter 20 etapas, serão considerados 15 resultados; para 17 torneios, 13 resultados. Rankings Técnicos: Entradas e Seeding O Ranking de Entradas define as duplas que entram direto no Torneio Principal, somando os 4 melhores resultados dos 5 últimos eventos em que a dupla participou até 14 dias antes da competição, no período de 365 dias. O Seeding define a posição da dupla na chave principal e é obtido pela média das posições alcançadas nos últimos 5 torneios no período de 365 dias: Exemplo: • as últimas colocações de uma dupla foram: 1ª, 3ª, 2ª, 5ª e 4ª • esses números são somados: 1 + 3 + 2 + 5 + 4 = 15 • média 15/5 = 3,0 é o valor do seeding Se duas ou mais equipes têm o mesmo valor de seeding, o Ranking Técnico de Entradas é utilizado como critério de desempate. Se o empate persistir, é realizado um sorteio. Para as duplas que têm” 0” pontos nos rankings da FIVB, um sorteio determina a posição de seed. Os rankings | The rankings How are the champions of any given season determined? How are the team positions in the Main Draw determined in a tournament? The answer lies in the rankings determined by FIVB calculations. World Ranking Is taken to determine the Swatch FIVB World Tour Champions at the conclusion of the last event of the World Tour season. All teams start from zero points at the beginning of the season and the World Ranking shall be equal to the best 75% of the total amount of tournaments per year. In the case that 20 tournaments are played in one season, the results of 15 are considered; for a total of 17 tournaments, 13 count. Technical Rankings: Entries and Seeding The Technical Ranking is used to determine which teams will be allowed to enter into a Main Draw and then its seeding. The team’s entry will be based on the sum of points earned at the best 4 finishes out of the last 5 events the team played within a 365day period, up to 14 days prior to the competition. The Seeding process identifies a team’s position in the main draw and is based on the average of the teams’ placement in the last 5 events played within a 365-day period. For example: • a team’s last 5 finishes were: 1 st , 3 rd , 2 nd , 5 th , and 4 th • the sum of these positions: 1+3+2+5+4 = 15 • average 15/5 = 3.0 is the seed value In the event of a tie in the seeding process, the Technical World Ranking will be used to break the tie. If the tie persists, a drawing is conducted to define the seeding position. The same is done with teams that do not have any participation in World Tour events: they all have “0” and a draw must be held to determine seed order. 51
