A 17 de Maio, data em que se assinala mais um Dia
do Município de Loulé, a Festa da Espiga prende
as atenções de muitas gentes, não só do concelho,
mas também de muitas zonas do Algarve e Alentejo.
Esta festa tradicional volta a animar o coração de
Salir, uma das mais típicas localidades da serra
algarvia. Mas os festejos prolongam-se até sábado,
dia 19, com muita música, teatro, gastronomia,
desporto e actividades para crianças e seniores,
num programa dividido em três noites temáticas:
Noite da Espiga (quinta-feira), Noite Popular (sextafeira)
e Noite Jovem (sábado).

On 17 May, the date when another Day of the
Municipality of Loulé is marked, the Festa da
Espiga will be attracting lots of people’s attention,
not only in the municipality but also in many parts
of the Algarve and the Alentejo. This traditional
festival will once again be bringing the heart of
Salir to life, one of the most typical little places
in the Algarve serra. But the festivities continue
until the Saturday, with plenty of music, theatre,
gastronomy, sport and activities for children and
seniors, in a programme divided into three themed
evenings: Espiga Evening (Thursday), Popular
Evening (Friday) and Youth Evening (Saturday).
