Timor, um funcionário da Força Aérea, é humilha<strong>do</strong><br />
e expulso da pensão onde vive após ser pego em<br />
flagrante rouban<strong>do</strong>. Seus colegas de trabalho, que<br />
haviam si<strong>do</strong> seus cúmplices, lhe viram as costas.<br />
Timor, an Air Force worker, is humiliated and kicked<br />
out of the boarding house where he lives after being<br />
caught stealing. His work colleagues, who had been<br />
his accomplices, now turn their backs on him.<br />
Irén e sua pequena filha Krisztike vivem apertadas<br />
no apartamento de seu sogro. Seu mari<strong>do</strong>, Laci,<br />
acabou de entrar para o exército. Além deles,<br />
outros três parentes de Laci ocupam o pequeno<br />
espaço <strong>do</strong> apartamento, o que torna a convivência<br />
insuportável. Ciumento e ranzinza, o pai de Laci<br />
não gosta quan<strong>do</strong> Irén traz amigos <strong>do</strong> trabalho<br />
para casa, e faz o que pode para separar o casal,<br />
acusan<strong>do</strong>-a de promiscuidade. Esgotada pela situação,<br />
Irén tem como único sonho de sua vida um<br />
apartamento próprio, porém a burocracia <strong>do</strong> país<br />
torna a tarefa impossível.<br />
Irén and her young daughter Krisztike live in her fatherin-law’s<br />
cramped apartment. Her husband, Laci, has<br />
just joined the army. The tiny apartment is also home<br />
to three other relatives, making for an unbearable living<br />
arrangement. Laci’s jealous and grouchy father<br />
<strong>do</strong>esn’t like for Irén to bring home work friends and<br />
<strong>do</strong>es his best to separate the couple, accusing her of<br />
promiscuity. Fed up with all this, Irén’s only dream in<br />
life is to have her own apartment. But the country’s red<br />
t ape makes this virtually impossible.<br />
