BIOINSTITUT d.o.o. for testing in health care and veterinary medicine is a private company,
founded in 1949, under the name Veterinary station Čakovec. The company has
100 employees in the following departments: Chemical and microbiological laboratory;
Service of fumigation and deratization; Sanitation and quality systems service; Service
of veterinary examinations and controls; Veterinary medicine clinic and Department for
Common Affairs. Bioinstitut’s laboratory was founded in 1993. Its target development
allowed its growth to the level of the biggest private laboratory in segments of food,
water, and waste analysis. The laboratory has 75 accredited methods according to the
HRN EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard, and is the second biggest laboratory in Croatia by the
number of accredited methods. It is authorized by different state bodies, and equipped
for performing the most demanding analyses of food, water, ground, and waste.
