IGH INSTITUTE d.d. operates in science-research and expert work in construction field,
which includes: designing, studies, expert supervision of construction, consulting services,
exploration works, certifying, supervision and testing of construction products, adoption
of technical approvals and laboratory tests and calibrations. During the six decades
of its existence, the IGH Institute has grown into the biggest consulting house in Central
and South-East Europe. IGH’s twenty laboratories, the biggest and best of which is the
one in Zagreb, also at the level of Central and Eastern Europe - are the foundation of research
and progress in the field of construction. The laboratories are on a par with leading
European laboratories in equipment and expert potentials. There is almost no larger
building in Croatia which had not been designed or supervised by IGH, or for which IGH
had not controlled the quality of construction, made studies or provided expert opinions
and expertise. By providing its services, IGH has made a strong step into the surrounding
countries, and even further, as far as Kazakhstan, Russia and the Ukraine. The goal
of this leading company in terms of knowledge is to expand to the markets of Eastern
Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. The IGH Institute also actively participates in
transposing the European legal practice to the area of Croatia and the whole region. This
effort is backed by its long membership in important bodies of the EU.
