Today the institute has 171 permanent employees, 10 of whom are doctors of science, 15 are masters of science, and there are 114 employees with high and higher professional qualifications. The Institute’s activities are related to products, systems and procedures used for transformation, transfer and use of electrical energy in electric power industry and transportation. In those areas, the Institute performs the following activities: research, new product development, development, typical, and specific tests in laboratories and on-site, diagnostics and monitoring of products and equipment, product certification and technical supervision and consulting services. The activities of the Institute are conducted in institutions and services. The Institute has a certified quality management system in accordance with HRN EN ISO 9001, a certified environmental management system in accordance with HRN EN ISO 14001, and a certified health and work safety management system in accordance with OHSAS 18001.
