Relationships In Unit II, we are presented with strategies on how to work with other professionals. Sometimes these
professionals are volunteers, paraprofessionals, or colleagues (such as teachers and resource specialists). Consider the
discussions that took place earlier this week on how you listen and respect the needs/concerns of your colleagues when
they have a vested interest in your class. Think about how to make these relationships stronger and beneficial for you
and your students. Which of the three strategies could you use to capitalize on the kinds of support these other
professionals are offering? Provide an example or two from your own experiences, if applicable. Keep in mind that the
overarching theme here is relationships. Consider how people are honored and respected, given the strategy presented.
Then, find a way to either continue the professional relationship or help it grow and evolve for the benefit of you and the
students. Guided Response: Read your classmates? posts and decide if you could adopt their strategies. Then respond
to at least two classmates, and explain how you would also use their strategies in your classroom. In the event that you
have chosen a similar approach, consider how you could enhance both of your efforts. Present a follow-up agenda that
you both may be apt to use. Respond to someone who has not received feedback, and continue the conversation with
others you wish to inspire or connect with.
